Straumann’s etkon CAD/CAM group will be conducting 2 monthly CAD/CAM CE NBC accredited programs during 2008 featuring the es1 laser scanner.

Title:  Practical CAD/CAM Techniques for the Laboratory Professional – 16 NBC Credits

Objective:  This program is designed to give the participant the understanding of the New Age in CAD/CAM technology. The program will also educate on various systems and how they compare to the etkon system by Straumann, as well as to demonstrate the ability of the scanner technology along with software capabilities. All participants will be educated in the scanning process of single and multiple unit bridges. All participants will also be educated in the process of scanning and designing of complex substructures to the dental CAD/CAM process using the etkon es1 scanner. Such substructures as Maryland Bridges, attachments, inlay’s and onlay’s and other types of case planning will be discussed and reviewed.

Fee: $225 per lab – 2 people maximum per lab – each additional person is $75

A CAD/CAM attendance certificate will be issued upon completion of the course.

Title:   Infection Control Continuing Education Seminar -2 NBC credits

Program Objective:  This program will help CDTs attain their requirement of 2 hour of documented continuing education in Regulatory Standards.

Fee: $50 for each attendee
